EMRYS CAIN PEONY ✩★ TAGS - ANDREA * - - - - - - - - - - - - Emrys was not to font of how cold it was as the driver dropped him and his sister off two blocks away from saint felix. he could see his breath as his fingers ripped at the arms of his coat. though the sky was pitch black the buzz of light from the nightclub was just enough. his eyes scanned the scene, it could potentially be a while to get in. he approached slowly with honor tagging behind slowly. he hated to be seen with her, but though he hated to admit it, she was his only ticket in. without his actress sister, he was just some unsuccessful guitar player with a mediocre voice. now that he was in a bad mood the click of heels got louder as honor began to surpass him. he frowned bitterly as he watched her mess of tawny hair bounce into the crowd. he had to walk faster now as they quickly bounced to the front of the line.
The bodyguards were softies for her. they looked at him strangely before his face must have registered in the large mens' heads. he'd met up with some friends here before, and honor was a regular club-goer. they had said absolutely nothing to each other on the ride here and that was how emrys wanted to keep it. he just hated how she hissed his name. "emmmm-riiisss" sounded so sour in his ears. he sometimes wondered how it had come to this, but quickly realized it wasn't worth it.
Inside the club the twins quickly split up. honor ran off quickly, and emrys could hear the vibrations of her high voice calling merrily to her friends and model boyfriend (who emrys knew was a complete dick). meanwhile her brother stood in the same spot by the entrance awkwardly with his hands stuffed in his pockets. it occured to him slowly that he must look like quite the idiot standing there staring at the mound of people grinding on the dance floor. the thought of joining in rolled into his head for a minute but left quickly. he had to loosen up first, he thought, though apparently his body already knew as he walked across the floor towards the bar.
He downed a couple screwdrivers pretty quickly and was already feeling kind of tipsy. the club was playing some kanye west song and all the lights seemed blurred. he quickly got a little angry with himself for his vision impairment. he'd come here to see if andrea would be here. she always was-- right? friday nights were saint felix nights, right? he hoped to god that it wasn't the wrong night, he hated getting hangovers with no sense of accomplishment. he figured quickly that if he couldn't find her he'd find some other pretty girl to make out with-- though he knew the after effect wouldn't be the same.

The lights were already making Andrea feel a bit dizzy. It was her third drink in less than half an hour, and it was enough to make her feel happier and warmer for a good while. She was sitting in some pink couches in the corner of the room with some model friends and more three or four that Andrea was sure that she wouldn’t see them again, because first they weren’t good looking enough and second, even if she met them again, Andrea wouldn’t really remember. Still, she talked to everyone like they were long time friends or something. Had to keep up appearances, right? Andrea was a good girl, after all, or at least tried to be one, but in this society it’s hard to do it. Andrea looked around to all those pretty faces sitting beside her and imagined a paper on their heads saying ‘stupid’, ‘ugly’, ‘fake’, ‘idiot’, okay, maybe she was drinking too much for only thirty minutes. But it kept her temper controlled.
Not even the guys around her seemed to be interesting, yes, they were hot, but Andrea hated the fact that she would be making-out with someone that has no brains, no matter how stunning the guy is. Of course that Andrea wasn’t looking for a husband there, not at all, just the words wedding and kids made her shivers, and the thought that she almost had one a few years ago, which would had stopped her having all this that Andrea had now, made her nightmares. But well, that’s a sad chapter of her life that Andrea didn’t really want to remember or talk about it. No one knew about it, not even her mother who was, at the time, the only person that Andrea told everything.
Anyways, Andrea got along with the drill. A girl went to get a drink, so Andrea asked her if she could bring her a cup of Tokyo Tea, one of her favorites. Andrea was decided to get drunk today, definitely. But well, who could blame her? She was young, rich, and famous and wanted to have fun. Then all Andrea had to do was try to walk straight to her car, which was going to be driven by a professional motorist, by the way, since Andrea didn’t want to kill herself in her way home, and tomorrow morning take a lots of pills and sleep till noon or after. That’s all. Hangovers weren’t very bad to her; Andrea just needed to sleep more than eleven hours and aspirins. Just that and she would be fine.
Andrea took a few sips of her tea after she saw Emrys near the bar. She told her ‘friends’ that she would be right back, got up and went towards his direction. Emrys was a good guy; at least he never harmed her, and was cute too. Andrea liked his voice and liked Emrys too, she felt attracted to him, but Andrea knew it wasn’t love. She had felt it before, and could notice that it wasn’t the same, besides, who the hell would think that casual making-out would be love? When Andrea was near him, she taped Emrys back and put her arm around his neck. “Hey Emrys! What’s up?” Andrea greeted with a friendly smile.
