and say something is not right
ERIK CARMICHAEL
Erik snapped his phone shut and sighed happily as he sent her the directions to the smallest chinese restaurant he knows of. he missed callie so much and he hadn't seen her in so long. she knew that he was pretty busy trying to sway the spotlight away from callie so she can have the most normal life possible without any embarassing moments, though as far as he was concerned she never had any. it's funny how it works, though. erik drummed his fingers on the countertop and ran his fingers through his hair carefully.
He asked for two menu's and then asked them to wait for a while before ordering two green tea's and then waiting patiently. he instead opened his notebook and scanned over his notes from a few interviews with some old movie directors and producers about their newest film that's coming out in the winter near christmas and was reviewing those notes to get ready to write the review for it that evening. the funny thing was, those were his bosses, or the people he worked for. not that he was complaining, it was easy work and absolutely nothing would come of it most likely since they basically rarely ever got published. well, rare as in only once ever issue but a small little slot if anything. but he's found out that sometimes he can get covers when he digs up the best scoop - like for when he wrote an article about the famous callie vernon and who she was dating - and what it was like to be dating her. she didn't mind, which was the most amazing thing about her and it wasn't a huge deal when he told her that he was writing it. that was when the relationship first started, and then it grew to be what it was now. he was thinking of writing something else on it to... you know, tell everyone how much he was in love with the girl? it was something sweet that he wanted to do, considering he's a huge hopeless romantic. the only one in his family, he was pretty sure.
Patience was something reporters had to have, and people working or interested in working in the media, and so erik sat there, waiting patiently for his date and his girlfriend to arrive while smelling the most delicious foods in the world - or what was his idea of most delicious since he was in the mood for chinese - and that meant YUM. erik had a thing for eating random foods, and living in LA sort of helped him work that out seeing as they had a large variety of foods to interest him in. thai, indian, chinese, and all those other things. erik was a huge cultural fan (as said before) so this was like paradise for his stomach and his nose as he waited some more.
