some things i can't explain ALEX PARKER
Alex parker ran his fingers through his slightly damp blonde hair and shook out a few loose drops that had refused to come out with the towel. the heat wasn't as strong as it had been two weeks ago so alex had decided to take a break and leave one of his co-workers in charge of the coffee shop for the afternoon while he took a relaxing stroll out along the streets of hollywood. it surprised him that he had lived here for so long - ever since his parents disowned him for wanting to pursue his career in music - that he hadn't really gotten the chance to roam around this city of dreams that everyone talks about so much. he was starting to see only parts of the reasons why it was so talked about and sought after from people all around the world. alex wouldn't say he was a proud citizen of hollywood, but he wouldn't say he didn't like a few sightings in his shop of some celebrities (big or small), and he was also happy that none of the huge ones (i.e. angelina jolie, brad pitt and those types) didn't come wandering in or else he would be too busy to really get anything else done and who knows - they could be royal pains and demand things to be their way. that was something that pissed alex off about this town. everyone was so demanding and needed certain things on certain things and would refuse to have something one way rather than another. c'est la vie alexander thought bitterly as he turned the corner and came face to face with a hot dog shop he hadn't seen in quite some time. actually, he could barely remember the last time he had ever had a hot dog. he stuffed his hands in his pockets and waited for the light to change. he walked casually across the street, whistling a few familiar tunes and trying to ignore a few tourist stares he kept getting. and it was normal, sometimes. he has been stopped in the past from people asking him to sign things, thinking he was some sort of model or something along those lines.
Nevertheless, he owns a coffee shop that he happens to love owning and sometimes he thinks having his parents disown him is a blessing seeing as his father was a stuck-up bastard who cared for no one but himself and seemed to just get a kick out of firing other people who have been working for him for about a month. alex walked into the small, but crowded hot dog...er... restaurant and exhaled as he ran his fingers through his hair. he felt the steam everywhere and joined the back of the line behind some red headed girl who seemed to be about his age or younger. she turned around, took one look at him, blushed and faced forward. alex chuckled slightly to himself and watched as the line moved steadily forward. he finally got to a point where he had the chance to order and got himself a simple sausage on a bun with relish, mustard, ketchup, pickles and a drop of mayonnaise. he paid for it quickly and slipped out the front door and wandered a few shops down toward a bench. he sat down and gave his hot dog a one over before taking a very large, very healthy bite of it. he chewed and chewed before swallowing and sighed. memories of family barbecue's swelled up in his mind and he forced them out since he didn't want to get into those moments right now when he was enjoying himself on his own. actually, he hadn't really been on his own for a while now. since the morning, to be exact. and now it was about three or four o'clock in the afternoon. there was always someone coming in the shop or leaving it so he really didn't have a chance to read. and, of course seeing as he's a bad luck charm, he forgot his book. again. oh for pete's sake. alex groaned as he felt some topping slide off the hot dog and onto his shirt. he grabbed the napkin from under the hot dog and wiped it. he glared at it for a few moments before being thankful he was wearing a black shirt and not the white one he was thinking of wearing.
He sat there for a little longer, watching passer's by (he's an observer at the moment) and smiled as a few girls walked by. he was always timid and shy around girls, though he couldn't quite figure out why. he loved hanging around them and stuff and enjoyed their company a lot so it wasn't a huge deal... but those were his friends, old band mates, old school mates and everything. they weren't really girls he was interested in in that sort of way. there were a few that he thought of in that way, but seriously... not a lot. and those lucky few were the lucky few that got to break his heart when he found out they were in a relationship or just not interested in one with him. and that's just... ouch.

Vivian Alene D’Aubigne dont play games with the girl; who can play them better Vivian was bored of the park, sure she had caught up with Juli but she was bored of looking at all the art work, it just wasn’t the same as it had been when her mom was alive. It was almost as if it wasn’t as much fun, Vivian figured it was probably because she had never had the eye for artwork like her mother had, she had always promised to teach Viv how to do it, but she had gotten sick before she could, and before anyone knew it she was gone.
Vivian exited the park throwing a short nod in the direction of the bouncer as he said goodbye to her, Vivian walked for a few feet and stopped, she was hungry but the closest place to eat was about a mile, and Viv walking a mile in the shoes she was wearing wasn’t happening. Pulling out her black diamond cell phone Vivian held down the number nine and waited for her driver to answer.
Hearing her drivers voice ring in her ear Viv breathed a sigh of relief, she had been worried that evil sister had wanted to go shopping taking the driver, but apparently she hadn’t, “Hey Jeffery, it’s Vivian I’m at the park can you come pick me up please?” Vivian relayed her message in the phone and smiled as Jeffery told her he hadn’t gone far, because he knew she’d be hungry soon.
Vivian smiled her father’s driver knew her too well, when she saw the long sleek black limo pull up to the curb she waved her hand to Jeffery letting him know she could open the door herself and he didn’t have to worry about getting out of the car.
Sliding into the cool limousine Vivian closed her eyes, the air conditioning felt amazing after walking around in the heat. “Where to miss?” Jeffery asked her, opening her eyes Vivian thought for a moment, where did she want to eat, “home is fine Jeffery, I’ll ask Rosalie to make me something” Vivian finally decided.
Rosalie was her families cook, and was the most amazing cook Vivian’s family had ever had, Vivian once again closed her eyes and rested her head on the head rest in the car, enjoying the feeling of the air condition blowing on her face Vivian smiled.
When she felt the car stop at what must have been a red light Vivian opened her eyes and looked out the window. There sitting on the bench was Alex, the boy that had broken her heart, yet they were still protective over one another. “Wait a second Jeffery” Vivian said and slide over to the other side of the Limo and rolled down the window.
“Well, Well, Well who do we have here? Is that Alex Parker I see?” Vivian asked smiling at Alex

some things i can't explain ALEX PARKER
Alex could hardly believe his eyes. of course, he saw black limo's every other effing day around this city, but honestly - how many people inside the black limo's does one know personally? i know. not too many. so, alex was just as shocked as all the other people around him when he saw the most gorgeous face being slowly revealed as the window rolled down. first her beautiful eyes, the ones that had - literally - captivated him from across a crowded room and had made him spill his punch on some other asshole who happened to be in his way, and then her cute little nose - the same one he used to kiss lightly every few minutes they had together - and then her round, vixen lips that reminded him so much of chocolate mousse. strangely enough, they still did. but maybe that was because he had been thinking of chocolate mousse a few seconds earlier. he grinned slyly at the vision in the window, knowing that was most definitely the luckiest guy on that street right now. vivien was one of the girls he felt comfortable around and didn't feel as though he were making a fool of himself because he wasn't as rich or as famous as she was. heck, he didn't care all that much about it - well, that is... now he didn't. but before he did. he raised two fingers at her in a greeting gesture and waved. who would've thought i'd see her here on this fine afternoon... he thought carefully to himself. not that he wasn't happy. he hadn't seen her in over two months and seriously - in alex time? - that was more than a decade.
So, of course, he made a relatively large deal about it by cocking his head to the side and letting those few simple words of greeting slide from his lips, "how goes it, vi? haven't seen you too often in those social columns enough to really know what's happening." he said in a teasing way. of course, that was a tremendous lie. he had just read about her that morning in fact, as he was opening the shop. it was in the social column (of which he liked to read since a few of his friends or ex-friends were in there, reeking havoc in LA) of course and it mentioned how the ever so gorgeous vivien d’aubigne had gone shopping at said store for said item. and alex was sure that within the next twenty-four hours (no, make that twelve) said item at said store will be sold out. he knew the ritual all too well since he had once been the papers as well. and he even kept the clipping; ELITE SOCIALITE DUMPS OUTSIDER MUSICIAN... and alex had read it over and over for days on end since no one had dumped anyone and if there had been a dumping it was from his end of the phone because she certainly didn't want to break up. well, that was what he thought. but still, the thought of it brought a slight blush to his tanned cheeks, making them look more chiseled in the afternoon glow. he grinned.

Vivian Alene D’Aubigne dont play games with the girl; who can play them better Vivian shrugged at his question, “It goes how my life always goes.” She said trying not to react to the way he said the nick name he had for her, everyone always called her Viv, it was only Alex who had ever called her Vi, it was his nickname for her, and it still stung a bit when he said it, to know that he no longer was apart of that part of her life, who would have thought that after almost two years it’d still sting.
“As for the social columns you know me, I like to disappear from the limelight every once in a while, makes things interesting.” She said laughing a bit, knowing all to well that was a lie, no matter how hard Viv tried to get out of the limelight it always found her, even when she went out of the country which could at times be annoying.
Turning back into the limo Viv smiled at Jeffery, ‘I’m going to get out here, I’ll call you.” She said before opening her door to the limo and stepping out into the warm air once again, closing the door after grabbing her purse,Vivian walked over and sat down next to Alex on the bench.
“How goes life for the musician, haven’t seen you around in what? Two months?” Vivian asked, the last time Viv had seen Alex had been at some new club opening he had been playing and she had talked to him for maybe five minutes before she had been dragged away by whichever person she had been there with, either Rachel or Gene, maybe even both, it was like the three were always together.
Viv leaned back against the bench and let the sun hit her face, even though she had been out in the sun less than five minutes ago the rays warmed her face like she hadn’t seen sun light for years. After she opened her eyes she regretted it, the way her face was angled made the sun hit directly into her eyes, closing her eyes quickly Viv moved her head back to it’s normal position before reaching into her purse and grabbing her sunglasses.
After putting on her sunglasses Viv ran a hand threw her golden blonde hair not caring how it looked anymore, the chances of it looking bad were slim, her hairstylist said that she could run her hands threw her hair all she wanted with this style and it’d still look fine.
Vivian turned tilted her head towards Alex causing her hair to fall to one side of her body, “so tell me what’s new in the world of Alex?” Viv asked

some things i can't explain ALEX PARKER
Do you know the feeling, that when you see something up close and personnel again for the first time in so long that you feel that sudden longing you felt when you first met them? alex's fingers immediately brushed his hair around in a self-conscious sort of manner and grinned lopsidedly at vivien. as always, one simple movement as stepping out of a car seemed so much more glamorous when she did it. and that was one of those compliments alex rarely ever gave out. he was so tempted to pull out a cigarette just to have something to do with his hands, but then he remembered that he was cutting down now and trying to quit since as a girl had told him before, it was a bad habit. he exhaled slowly, ignoring the urge once more and then focusing his attention on vivien. he chuckled slightly as the sunlight caught her eyes, but the way it bounced off her cheeks, reminding him of how silky smooth they were beneath his fingertips... well, it hurt him to see it. and remembering it was one of the worst things, too.
Alex arched a brow and let one of his arms fall lazily on the back of the bench as he placed one foot on top of his thigh, rocking it back and forth. "the world of alexander mackenzie parker has been quite uneventful lately. i never even see you by the cafe, anymore." he said, pouting playfully just to see what kind of reaction he could get out of her, just for fun of course. "but i can understand that there are so many things you have to do and such. it's a busy world - i understand." he said, nodding respectfully, a serious expression suddenly taking over his face. it was true nothing was really going on. he hadn't met anyone, he was just hanging around with keaton and a few others in his spare time. he was a nobody, to be honest, but he quite liked it. sometimes he wondered whether or not he was ready to go out into the world and get the light shone in his eyes as he tried to sing and play the guitar for all the world to hear. no... that wasn't what he wanted sometimes. sometimes he was happy playing a few bars in the cafe to some of his late night customers as two of his employee's cleaned up. it was a calm life in the slow lane since alex wasn't much of a fast lane kind of guy as most people have noticed. he likes paying attention to the little things and is doing his best to stay level headed in hollywood (an impossible feat, but he's managing rather well).
But other than a few financial setbacks, alex's life is doing a really good job holding up against all the shallow citizens that aligned these LA streets. alex ran his fingers through his hair and tossed the napkin of the long-gone hot dog into a trash bin a few feet away. he nodded toward the hot dog place and smirked, "is vivien interested in getting one? i'm a pig." he said, and oinked once with a playful smile, like that of a child.
