this is matthew or matt, as he is often commonly known as among friends. he is twenty five years of age and was born and raised in huntington beach, southern california. after a two year stint at a reform school in chicago, he went on to work as a crew member or a roadie for his friend's band, as well as few others he met along the way and these friends and connections are what brought him the job of a studio musician. of course he has bills to pay and needs a back up plan, therefore matthew is also a face you'd see regularly in the local bars, both as a guest and as a bartender/dj. matt was a pretty troubled teenager, from an early age he was pressured into achieving high and well, especially in sports which caused him to rebel. can't say that many people really know of that matt anymore. he's made mistakes, and he has regrets but matt's a nice guy, as long as you don't catch him on a bad day or you haven't offended him, because he can be as brutal as he looks. give him a reason and he could kill you. that's not boasting with empty threats, it's a fact. so be thankful that he worked hard and eagerly to overcome his attitude and aggression problems. there's always something that never changed in matt, as an adult or as a twat of a teenager. he has always been very loving, very loyal and very protective. for a long time, friends were his family. he'd die for his closest friends. he's very social and easy to bond with. he has a nicely balanced life. he loves to go out and get drunk with his many friends. he loves to flirt with the ladies. he loves working as a studio musician and enjoys being behind the bar. he also enjoys playing sports especially basketball (something his whole family does) as well as other boyishly good activities - it is all good fun!
soon, he will discover he has a son, with the only girl that matthew ever loved, named alex harlett who just so happens to have landed herself in california, working successfully as a journalist in a number of popular music magazines. he has always wanted children, but he wanted them as a family. he wanted to be a proper father, working to support a wife and their children. right now, he's just chilling and enjoying himself and his youth in los angeles.
it seems there are a lot of young characters on this site, so i'm not sure if there can be heavy friendships among matt and teenagers. i'm looking to establish matthew and build up a few histories between people so everyone is not new to him. i expect he might know a couple of musicians but obviously not all. and maybe socialites over the age of twenty one who he knows from local bars etc. feel free to send me a message about any ideas, i would rather we discuss histories before posting in plots or whatever, and it would be great if we are making any strong friendships that you describe your character a little, as the applications do not describe personality or histories, thank you!

i'm sure they could be friends indeed! since she's actually old enough to drink alcohol and be in bars, they could be social friends who see each other all the time in local bars, be it where he works or just where he and she are both at and stuff? maybe they don't really see all that much of each other elsewhere though they aren't limited to just seeing each other out and about but that's generally how they met and know each other and he's kind of protective of her?

I was thinking maybe they could be close friends. Danny is also 25 yrs old... he is an actor but one of his hobbies is music and song writing. He also likes going to bars, drinking (although not too heavily) and just going to clubs. He's married, been so for 3 yrs but is going to be having an affair that matt can know about. He wants a family like matt as well but doesn't have one yet.
I can describe him more thoroughly if you'd like. Let me know.

alright, i shall post in hayden's plot whenever i can remember to hah. xD
and yesss. matt needs man-friends! so i'm sure they will be friends. matt will probably not like encourage or approve of the whole affair thing but won't butt in and get involved, you know? like he wouldn't lie for dan but he'd let him make his own mistakes and hopefully learn from them hah! so they could have known each other for a year at least and maybe matt could come to daniel in a bit of a daze when he finds out he has a son but it's not in the way he wants a family but he's all 'A SON! SQUEE/OMG!' and whatever. lol.
i need to get some posts up soon with either of my boys (i also play joey) and stuff. so if anyone wants to, i shall xD
